Nanette has made it 72 hours beyond the rupture and has not experienced the onset of labor or infection. These are good signs that her pregnancy will continue to progress. 22% of PPROM patients have a latency between rupture and birth of 4 or more weeks. If Nanette falls into this lucky 22% she will make it to at least 26 weeks and 4 days. The rates of mortality and morbidity change drastically between weeks 22 and 26.
A couple from the LDS branch at the hospital came and administered the sacrament. The sister shared a quote from Elder Holland's talk, "Cast Not Away Your Confidence".
Nanette's family fasted and joined in a family prayer at 5pm. Nanette's sister Julie had sent out an email requesting the family to fast from Saturday at 5pm to Thursday at 5pm. We believe---but who can be sure with Julie---that she meant to type Sunday. We are grateful to all those who fasted and joined in prayer (and we are especially grateful to anyone who took Julie literally and are still fasting for Nanette). :)
Jared went home to see the kids and stay the night there so Lynette stayed the night and was a great comfort to Nanette.
